EILB Sound absorbing panels
Description
Flexible open-cell polyester-based polyurethane foam for acoustic absorption. It has the property of absorbing sound energy, especially at high frequencies, and preventing its reflection.
Characteristics
- Color: anthracite gray;
- Operating temperature: -5°C to +65°C;
- Density: 25 kg/m³;
- Regular cell structure;
- Good resistance to air flow, resulting in improved sound absorption;
- Resistance to organic solvents;
- Good tensile and tear strength;
- Good aging resistance.
Declaration
The special polyester-based foam formulation allows compliance with the FMVSS Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 302 fire performance test at all proposed thicknesses.
Use
Sound-absorbing coverings for:
- engine compartments and casings of very noisy machinery;
- industrial ventilation and extraction ducts;
- recording studios or music rooms;
- shooting ranges;
- general thermal and acoustic insulation.
Models
- EILB – Sound-absorbing panel with dimpled sheet;
- EILBR – Sound-absorbing roll with dimpled sheet.
Notes
The material may be painted, remembering that an excessive thickness of paint on the surface could change the acoustic absorption capacity at various frequencies.
